They call this progress!
I call it devastation!
Why do contractors think they need to destroy so many trees?
Can they not put the houses in and save some of the trees?
To them this is a pile of logs.
To me this is a waste of young trees that could have been saved for shade, or
to help filter out the bad air near this road.
At least if they are going to fell the trees USE them for something!

I agree ... Two summers ago out near moon beach there was an area of about 4 miles of trees that went up for sale . The man that bought the land decided to farm on it( which in itself is a wonderful thing) except for the fact that in the process He had cut down all of the trees. Everyone talks about global warming and how we can change it . I say STOP CUTTING DOWN THE TREES!!! not only do the provide homes for creatures such as birds squirrelsetc... there provide a filtration system for the air ... less trees means more carbon dioxide...... which in turn ruins our planet.....
I have to agree with you mindy, I hate to see trees cut down willy nilly, at least plan to cut down a few but leave a bigger amount to grow .
